After my Joan cosplay I was ready
for another challenge. Magna Carta had plenty
of great designs and I narrowed my choices down
to a few characters. When Don decided on Calintz,
I chose that character's counterpart, Adora.
Quite a few disasters happened with
this costume, all of which were my fault due to
procrastination. I am an extreme perfectionist
and I ruined my preferred pair of tights in a
costume construction fiasco. I had to buy and
wear tights that I did not feel did the costume
justice; and it didn't even have the little emblem
on it. Bangs were another issue. Naturally I do
not have bangs, but I could not find clip on's
in time.
Contrary to what people thought,
the hair was super easy. My natural hair is in
a bun and store bought hair is wrapped around
it with the bead decorations hot glues to it.
To sum up this costume I have to
say that I was a little uncomfortable with the
length of the skirt, but fortunately that is why
biker shorts were invented. I also made a promise
with myself to buy comfortable shoes this time
around. If I were to wear this costume again,
I'd get proper tights, apply the emblem and buy
clip on bangs.
