Joan was my first fully realized
Hyung Tae Kim cosplay. The Beramode
costume I made a year before, wasn't technically
finished until after this costume was made. I
chose her because I wanted to use my real hair
and because her outfit was awesome. The shoes
posed the largest problem of this costume. I had
to search on ebay for a long time in order to
find the boots I customized into Joan's footwear.
(Even to this day, I cannot find those boots online
anymore.)
In choosing Joan a friend was supposed
to have attended as Christian, Joan's counterpart.
Unfortunately, he had to cancel at the last minute.
Although I was without a Christian, I had a Black
Raven to keep me company.
The worst aspect of this costume
was the shoes. They were half a size too small,
which made my feet scream after a day of walking
in them.
